Medical German PLUS: Description

The course is aimed at international physicians with advanced knowledge of the German language who wish to prepare for the specialist language examination at the German Medical Association or improve their specialist language skills.

The communication training „Deutsch für Mediziner PLUS: Communication training and preparation for the specialist language examination for obtaining the licence to practise medicine; takes place on twelve dates and is aimed at international doctors who are already advanced learners of German at the B2 to C1 level. The course is designed to enable doctors to communicate successfully in their daily work. It also serves as preparation for the specialist language examination at the German Medical Association.

The focus of the course is on communication with patients in the form of anamnesis interviews and other conversational situations in the medical context, especially in the hospital. The course also deals with the special features of doctor-patient discussions in Germany, forms of examination and discussions with colleagues and employees. Please plan time for extensive homework.
