Medical German: Description
The course is aimed at international doctors with an advanced knowledge of German who wish to prepare for the specialist language examination at the Medical Association or improve their specialist language skills.The communication training course “German for doctors: communication training and preparation for the specialist language exam to obtain a license to practice medicine” takes place over twelve dates and is aimed at international doctors who are already advanced learners of German at level B2/C1. The course is designed to enable doctors to communicate successfully in their everyday work. It also serves as preparation for the specialist language examination at the Medical Association.
The course focuses on communication with patients in the form of anamnesis interviews and other conversational situations in a medical context, particularly in hospitals. The special features of doctor-patient discussions in Germany, forms of examination and discussions with colleagues and staff will also be covered. Please allow time for extensive homework.

- Doctor-patient consultations, e.g. when taking a medical history
- Doctor-doctor discussions, e.g. during patient presentation
- Anamnesis documentation
- Discussions with employees in a medical context
- Reading professional articles
- Test simulation
Teaching methods
- Interactive, activity-oriented and communicative hybrid face-to-face lessons or interactive live online lessons
- Discussions, role plays and individual feedback
