Training 1: Digital ideas for teaching: presence, online or hybrid (12.08.24 - 16.08.24) >>The speed of progress in digital teaching options is making it increasingly difficult to gain an overview of the purpose and possibilities of using tools and apps in foreign language teaching.
This advanced training course teaches the latest findings in digital teaching. Participating teachers will learn all about the "digital classroom" and develop strategies for using it in their own lessons. In workshops, examples of the use of tablets & co. in the classroom are presented and tried out. Teachers will learn how to use which web-based tools and platforms in a targeted manner and, for example, how to create teaching materials and make them available digitally with the help of artificial intelligence and acquire knowledge about online-based games, apps, interactive worksheets and virtual collaboration platforms for all forms of teaching.
A particular focus of the training course is on presenting the technical and didactic features of online or hybrid teaching.
- Get an overview of the wide range of didactically usable tools and programs
- Get to know and try out examples of digitally supported teaching, e.g. using AI to simplify preparation and follow-up work for teachers
- Understand the technical background and pedagogical framework concepts for live online teaching, hybrid teaching and blended learning concepts
- Develop lesson plans for transfer to their own teaching practice and the step towards digital transformation
Training 2: Intensive Training German: Communicatio (19.08.24 - 23.08.24) >>
This training includes topics from the "German as a foreign language courses" at C1 and C2 level.
During the 5 days, we will focus on the topic of communication: e.g. Shannon & Weaver's "Sender-Receiver Model", Friedemann Schulz von Thun's "Four Ears Model" and the "Four Steps Concept" for non-violent communication according to Marshall B. Rosenberg, questioning techniques, argumentation and communication tools (verbal - non-verbal - paraverbal).
You will also use intercultural comparisons of the lessons and discussions with colleagues to expand your knowledge of oral and written expression and have the opportunity to refresh and/or improve your language skills. This course is suitable for all German teachers who would like to train their active vocabulary/orality, speak a lot of German during the 5 days and expand their German skills.

Funding example
In the new EU education programme ERASMUS+ you can apply for grants for this training course - travel costs, accommodation, meals and course fees are funded.
In contrast to the previous application practice, the institutions/employers of teachers must now apply for the scholarships from the respective National Agencies - several scholarships can be applied for directly in one application.
